In existence for over 200 years, the Stow Street Pioneer Cemetery is Kent's oldest historical site. It is forever linked to the history of a founding family, the Haymakers.
Please join us in our efforts to maintain and preserve this important site. With help from the community, we can ensure that this cemetery will be cared for and preserved for future generations. We will have a planning/social meeting at the Kent Historical Society on Wednesday, May 6th at 5:00 PM. Light refreshments will be provided and we can discuss ways to gain more volunteers!
I encourage you all to invite friends to join the meeting. Please let me know if you can attend on the 6th.
The Clean-up will be Sunday, May 17th, 2-4 PM. Please bring rakes, gloves, shovels and other gardening tools.
